The historic Hotel Europejski, designed in the neo-Renaissance style by Henryk Marconi and first opened to guests in 1857, reopened on 1 June 2018 as Raffles Europejski Warsaw: 106 rooms and suites, a spa, restaurants and around 500 works of Polish contemporary art. TIME magazine listed it among the World's Greatest Places 2018, and American Vogue called it one of the most anticipated hotels in the world.

For its most luxurious suites Magdalena Tekieli designed commodes and a bookcase from the Cabinet series. Oak oiled and lacquered to a high gloss, steel, and brass handles, legs and details made to special order. The design grew out of the low “Cabinet” commode she created for Sony Poland in 2013.
